Our last day of teaching at Bepong Presbie School in Ghana

Thursday 21st July,

Spent the last day making masks with the children with colured card ,glitter, and lots of stickers! The children absolutely love stickers ,the children would fight and scramble over each other to get one !!!!

I have had one of the best experiences of my life ,working in Ghana with these children ,i will miss Ghana so much ,the people are so friendly and happy ,as i left the school classroom and said good-bye a little girl looked up at me and said "i love you ":)

The last couple of days i felt  poorly and thought maybe i was just tired the journey home was unbearable because i was feeling sick  and had headaches but when i got back home  i went straight back to work but a phone call to the doctor that one evening when i couldn`t take the sickness feeling and headaches anymore  at about  midnight it resulted in me having to go into hospital to have some blood tests etc ,i was worried it was a blocked shunt in my head due to my tumour but the hospital  thought i had meningitis or maleria but after a couple of nights in hospital i was  diagnosed with Samonella in my bloodstream ,which is very rare and very dangerous but i thankfully recovered after a week of taking very strong antibiotics :)
